Vibration of a pendulum-
Pendulum swing so consistantly they have been used for clock fors centurys
Frank oppenheimer- showed the pendulum back and forth it produces a sine curve. this show that it moves at a constant speed.

  • Crest- high points
  • Troughs- low points
  • Amplitude- distance from the mid point to the top
  • Wavelength-distance of the wave crest to crest

Transverse waves- wave created bu shaking a rope or object of a diffrent object
the medium is at a right angle to which way it travels

Longitudinal waves- more back and forth called compression waves

Inferance pattern- when two wave overlap

Constructive pattern- is where they combng and dont interfer.

Destructive interferace- cancalles out or disrupts

Standing waves- have nodes that stay still and anti-nodes that are in between

Doppler Effect- when a police car speeds past and you hear the siren change pitch, This happens because the sound waves coming from he siren are effected by the speed of the police car and which direction it is travleing in.
